About CSV to JSON Converter
Convert tabular CSV data into JSON — an array of objects when the first row holds headers, or an array of arrays when it does not — and convert JSON arrays back into CSV. Nested objects are flattened into dotted column names such as address.city.
How to use CSV to JSON Converter
- Choose the direction: CSV to JSON or JSON to CSV.
- Paste data or open a file.
- Adjust options such as header row, number detection, or delimiter.
- Copy or download the converted output.
Examples
CSV to JSON
name,age / Ada,36 becomes [{"name": "Ada", "age": 36}] with number detection on.
JSON to CSV
[{"user": {"id": 1}}] becomes a CSV with the column user.id.
Limitations
- JSON to CSV expects an array of objects (or an array of arrays). Arrays nested inside objects are written as JSON text in a single cell.
- Number detection converts values like 007 to 7; turn it off to keep values as text.
