About Organize PDF
Organize PDF lets you change the page order of a document and drop pages you do not need. The remaining pages are copied into a new file in the order you choose. Page content is not re-rendered, so text stays selectable.
How to use Organize PDF
- Choose a PDF file.
- Use the up and down controls to change the page order.
- Remove any pages you do not want in the output. At least one page must remain.
- Select Organize PDF and download the new document.
Examples
Fix a shuffled scan
Move a cover page that was scanned last back to the start of the file.
Drop blank pages
Remove empty pages from a scan without splitting the document into pieces.
Limitations
- Pages are listed by number. Visual thumbnails are not shown, so check the original document if you are unsure which page is which.
- Bookmarks and document-level attachments are not copied into the new file.
- Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first.
Privacy
This tool processes everything locally in your browser tab. Your input is not uploaded to Utilhex or any third party, and it is discarded when you close or reload the page. Read the privacy policy for details.
Frequently asked questions
Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?
No. The file is read and processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Utilhex never receives the document, and closing the tab discards it.
Can I duplicate a page?
Not in this tool. Each page can appear once. Use Extract PDF Pages or Split PDF if you need a page on its own, then Merge PDF to assemble a new order.
How is this different from Extract PDF Pages?
Extract keeps the original order of the pages you select. Organize lets you change that order and drop pages in one step.
Can I use password-protected PDFs?
Not yet. Encrypted PDFs are detected and rejected with an explanation instead of producing a broken file. Remove the password in the application you used to protect it, then try again.
