About PDF to JPG / PNG

PDF to JPG / PNG draws each selected page and saves it as an image. PNG is lossless. JPG uses the quality you set. Pages are rendered one at a time, then packed into a ZIP or downloaded individually. The PDF is not uploaded.

How to use PDF to JPG / PNG

  1. Choose a PDF of up to 40 pages.
  2. Pick PNG or JPG, a resolution, and the pages to export.
  3. Select Convert and wait until each page is reported.
  4. Download one image or the ZIP of every selected page.

Examples

Slides as pictures

Export a short slide deck as PNGs to drop into a document that cannot embed a PDF.

A lighter JPG

Use JPG at a lower quality when you need smaller files and sharp text is less important.

Limitations

  • Documents over 40 MB or 40 pages are refused so the browser is not asked to hold a huge render.
  • 300 DPI is used only while the page stays under the pixel cap. Larger pages are scaled down, and the result says so.
  • This is a drawing of the page, not a conversion that keeps selectable text.
  • Encrypted PDFs must be unlocked first.

Privacy

This tool processes everything locally in your browser tab. Your input is not uploaded to Utilhex or any third party, and it is discarded when you close or reload the page. Read the privacy policy for details.

Frequently asked questions

Are my PDFs uploaded to a server?

No. The file is read and processed by JavaScript running in your browser tab. Utilhex never receives the document, and closing the tab discards it.

Can I use password-protected PDFs?

Not yet. Encrypted PDFs are detected and rejected with an explanation instead of producing a broken file. Remove the password in the application you used to protect it, then try again.

Why is a page not the full requested DPI?

A page that would exceed about 8 million pixels is scaled down. The finished file lists that page so the size is not a surprise.
